As a lead board design engineer at Intel, you will be architecting, designing and testing the next generation of server boards for Datacenter. Successful engineers have bachelor’s or Advanced degrees in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/telecommunication engineering, we look for individuals with strong fundamentals. As Lead design engineer in Datacenter Platform Group, the job role would involve technically guide and Co-ordinate Board team to design, develop and test, Reference and Product Boards and systems, working with different stakeholders. Candidate should have knack to come up with new ideas and implement them in products, addressing customer requirements. One needs to ensure products conform to standards and specifications. Board design engineers at Intel have a great opportunity to enhance their skills in board and system design. The scope of work includes developing test plans and analyzes test report and Analyze costs and competitive risks to assess projects. Need to evaluate different vendors and select components for Board design. One has to develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. Qualifications BE or MS degree in electrical electronic engineering with 10 to 15 years of industry experience. Understanding of server class motherboards based on Intel x86 processor chipsets Knowledge of DDR5, PCIe Gen5, USB, SATA, SMBus, I2C, eSPI and different Ethernet interfaces. Knowledge of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, VR designs, Mechanical-thermal constraints within system design. Test and qualification strategies for all high and low speed interfaces for motherboard. Experience with Allegro for Layout and Cadence schematics design tool – Concept HDL. Design for Cost, Manufacture, Assembly and Test. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate will need to be confident, enthusiastic and self-driven. Need to be a very good team player to collaborate effectively across organization.
