We are looking for a dedicated Tools Administrator and Agile Scrum Master who can prioritize deliverables and work with team members to maintain various software based in house and external tools, track administration of servers, databases, third party applications; manage licensing, as well as technical support, and is able to maintain working relationships with Vendors and Customers alike to help us support the needs of our business operations. The ideal candidate will have worked in a structured setting, understand general best practices in an IT organization, having been responsible for a broad set of functions. You should be familiar with private cloud infrastructures, Data Analytics tools, Agile and CI/CD concepts and should have a good understanding of the direction of cloud computing in the industry.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Take a responsibility for a broad range of operations and be expected to work relatively independently
  • Become the point person for both administering and supporting of a set of tools, and coordinate across organizations, internal and external, to achieve the goals
  • Manage deliverables for the team as an Agile Scrum Master
  • Work with customer organizations to create requirements for internal development or for creating units of work for external vendors
  • Coordinate expectations with internal customers along with the company’s external customers.
  • Maintain open communication with Stakeholders around support, maintenance and new requirements
  • You will manage less experienced engineers and administrators on team objectives and tools
  • Establish and track objectives
  • Mentor team members
  • Effectively communicate project status and progress.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Computer Science or other Engineering discipline
  • 5 years general System, Software, Agile, Administration, Development and Testing experience
  • 2+ years, working with VM’s
  • Background in Cloud based services
  • Strong understanding of Agile concepts
  • Experience with guiding and supporting team members in building scripts and architecting solutions
  • Prefer administrative experience with at least some applications such as Tableau, SQLServer, RemedyForce, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Alteryx, EasyMorph
  • Hands On experience with SQL based DB queries
  • General understanding of ETL processes
  • Exposure to infrastructure background to include Linux administration, Windows Administration, TCP/IP network architecture, troubleshooting etc
  • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Performance Management Framework
  • Demonstrated wireless telecommunication background to include development, testing and support.
  • Exposure to DevOps environments and tools automation practices
  • Maintain application performance management data collection and management around best practices, including service design and performance assessment, data collection and analysis,
  • Versatile skillset, able to support unfamiliar areas of technology and able to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Bitbucket

Skills and Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Some background in Hadoop and HDFS.
  • Understanding of BigData frameworks and environments
  • Clear architectural understanding of clustered and distributed environments and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud centric orchestration tools
  • Telecommunications systems, specifically wireless
  • Understanding of KPI’s and Performance pegs

Strong background in Agile methodologies and quick response and delivery cycles Development of cloud based, distributed applications Experience with clustered and cloud orchestration tools Some background in managing small database systems, with clear understanding of database standards and end user applications Working knowledge of file backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL Security administration and up to date with latest security protocols Experience with distributed file systems, and their optimal use in the commercial cloud (Hadoop, HDFS, S3, Google File System, Datastax Delta lake) Knowledge of SDLC (Waterfall, Agile and Scrum) BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
